Restaurateur Keith McNally’s Minetta Tavern, the classic New York style tavern and bar known for its vintage feel and Parisian menu, is now taking reservations for dinner at its new Union Market District location on Morse Alley, which opened to the public on December 10th.

Above the restaurant is the Lucy Mercer Bar, featuring a menu of finger foods, small plates, cocktails, and French wine. Its decor is inspired by 18th-century French aesthetics, a striking contrast to the 20th-Century American tavern below.

Menu highlights include Grilled Island Creek Oysters, with pancetta, Fresno chili butter, panko breadcrumbs, Soupe à l’Oignon with Gruyère and baguette, Coq au Vin with housemade gnocchi, chantarelle mushrooms, guanciale, shaved black truffles, Brook Trout with smoked trout roe, fine herbs, beurre blanc, rice pilaf, Smoked LI Duck Breast with delicata squash, parsnip purée, blackberry and honey glaze, and the Black Label Burger, selection of prime dry aged beef cuts, caramelized onions, pommes.

Minetta Tavern DC is located at 1287 4th St NE (entrance on Morse Alley), Washington, DC 20002.
