Richmond foodies, prepare to welcome a fast-casual newcomer in 2025. While Sweetgreen is no stranger to Virginia at large, the healthier concept is making its debut in the region early next year.
The salad-focused chain is opening as a part of the Carytown Exchange at 3550-3403 West Cary Street. According to the Regency Centers website, Sweetgreen will occupy 2,226 square feet at space C140 in the shopping plaza.
A precise opening date is not currently available for the DC-based eatery, however Richmond residents eager to sample Sweetgreen’s fare can look forward to taking a bite out of the distinctive cuisine sometime in the first half of 2025.
Sweetgreen served its first salad in Washington, DC, in 2007. The chain’s distinctive approach to fast-casual cuisine and its commitment to providing a nutritious alternative to the standard burgers and fries has helped the brand expand to 232 storefronts across the country.
Sweetgreen’s menu focuses on salads and warm bowls. It features seasonal selections that rotate 5 times annually.
