The DMV dumpling scene is getting a little bit fuller this spring, courtesy of an expanding local chain. Restaurateers Cody Zhou and Tea Shao are bringing Yu Noodles and its authentic cuisine to Rosslyn in 2025, reports local media outlet ARLNow.

The eatery, which specializes in Chongqing noodles, will be taking over the space vacated by Tom Yum District at 1515 Wilson Boulevard. Zhou and Shao are hoping to open Yu Noodles’ eighth location next spring, perhaps as early as April.

Rosslyn Chinese food enthusiasts can look forward to both dine-in and takeout options. Yu Noodles offers highly authentic cuisine, made by hand, and served at a reasonable price. Its commitment to maintaining superior quality alongside affordability has made it a favorite across four Baltimore locations and three Virginia storefronts.

Shao believes the eatery’s local success will translate into a warm Rosslyn welcome. He states “This brand overall already gained popularity, especially in the DMV area. I think a lot of people will be excited, especially, you know, the neighborhood and the local residents around here.”
