A New York restaurant group is preparing to bring fresh blood to a prime piece of DC real estate. The Union Square Hospitality Group is opening a new location of its Daily Provisions bakery concept in Dupont Circle, reports Axios D.C.

The cafe will be moving into the 1601 Connecticut Avenue NW storefront left vacant when Foxtrot closed in the space last year. The deal is still relatively new; while Union Square Hospitality confirms that they have signed a lease for the building, an opening timeline is not yet established. What Now DC has reached out to the restaurant group for further information, however a representative states that no further details are currently available.

While casual diners may be more familiar with Shake Shack, Union Square Hospitality’s breakout star, Daily Provisions is certain to earn a special spot in DC’s heart. The cafe, which describes itself as “your neighborhood kitchen” offers an array of delicious options for hungry visitors. The website describes Daily Provisions’ selection as an “all-day menu that fits the many needs of our hungry neighbors, with Coffee, Crullers and B.E.Cs in the morning, made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and seasonal soups in the afternoon, a dinner menu inclusive of Roast Chicken and classic sides, and an array of bakery favorites.”

The Dupont Circle Daily Provisions will be the concept’s first venture outside of the Empire State. The eatery currently has 8 locations within New York City.
