According to a recent permit filing, Bone Yard will open at 2603 S Jackson St in the Leschi area.

A representative of Bone Yard did not immediately return What Now Seattle’s request for comment.

While an official opening date and overall information have yet to be confirmed, Loop Net describes the location to be “2603 S Jackson St is a free-standing corner building located in one of Seattle’s up-and-coming areas, at the confluence of Leschi, Yesler Terrace, and Atlantic District.”

The building is 9,838 square feet and was originally built in 1923, with its remodel being done in 2016. The building is listed as currently only being leased out by 4 percent.

This space is described as offering versatile layouts, soaring ceilings, unobstructed spans, and ample sunlight. Situated at a corner location with visibility on S Jackson St, it caters to a rapidly expanding and diverse community with a robust desire for retail offerings.

The property includes a fenced parking pad/outdoor play area, conveniently positioned just two blocks away from Amazon Fresh and other emerging local retailers. The potential applications for this space are varied, encompassing options like a restaurant such as Bone Yard, a brewery, a daycare, a school, a fitness center, pet services, artist studios, a theater, or a professional office.

On Bone Yard’s permit filing, it is described as a tavern for beer and wine. At its core, a tavern is a gathering place where people come together to share stories, enjoy meals and drinks, and engage in social interactions. Taverns are described as having a rich history, dating back to ancient times when they were vital hubs for travelers seeking food, rest, and a friendly atmosphere. Taverns were often situated along well-traveled routes, providing respite for weary travelers and a meeting point for locals.
