According to a recent permit filing, La Malquerida has filed to open a Kennewick location at 107 Vista Way.

A representative of La Malquerida was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Seattle’s request.

While an official opening date and what La Malquerida plans to offer have yet to be confirmed, according to the permit, the concept has filed for a spirits, beer, and wine rest permission.

La Malquerida was filed under Inition Novum, INC. The incorporation itself was filed on September 26th, 2024. Keyra Rodriguez Michel is listed on the incorporation and the permit filing.

For the property itself, it looks like the address listed on La Malquerida’s permit filing was once home to The Jackalope Bar and Grill. According to an article from the Tri-City Herald, the bar has since moved from this location. “Owner Laurie Winchel said Jackalope is ready to reopen in the former Bougie Brunch, 3320 W. Kennewick Ave., as soon as health inspectors sign off and Jackalope’s license transfers from the original spot.”
