According to a recent permit filing, We Rise Wines Wine Bar aims to debut in the Pike Place Market at 1913 2nd Avenue.

We Rise Wines Wine Bar will be opening this fall. “At WeRise, we are on a mission to reshape the beverage industry one glass at a time starting with wine.”

“Why are we so passionate about this mission? It’s because Black winemakers make up less than 10% of the wine industry, women less than 20%, Latinx 15%. Our aim at WeRise is to build awareness of the fantastic wines from diverse and underrepresented winemakers.”

“We seek to both engage wine lovers within the Seattle metro area and to provide access to communities that may be less familiar with wine so that they too can learn, discover and enjoy as well. We aim to build an inclusive community centered around wine and educational events.”

Behind We Rise Wines Wine Bar is Jamila Conley. “With a rich career spanning over 25 years in executive roles across technology, business transformation, and strategic leadership, Jamila has now channeled her passion for wine, social justice, and impactful leadership into creating a unique space that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, liberation, and success for all.”
