According to a recent permit filing, Zula Bar and Restaurant aims to debut in the Dunlap area at 8139 Rainier Avenue S.
Behind Zula Bar and Restaurant are Filmon Mebrahtu and Negeset Tewelde. The spirits, wine, and beer rest liquor license was filed on November 8th.
Google states that the address listed for Zula is currently home to Habesha Ethiopian Restaurant and Bar. Yelp reports that Habesha is permanently closed with a Portland location listed, but Google states they are still open.
Previously, the address was also home to the Union N Bar & Restaurant, according to Google. Union N Bar & Restaurant has moved locations since, according to Yelp.
Realtor says the property is currently off the market. Built in 1919, it boasts 1,689 square feet of space on a 1,943 square foot lot.
