Scooter’s Coffee, a national chain “best known for its amazingly fast drive-thru, specialty coffee, and baked-from-scratch pastries,” is coming to San Antonio.
According to a recent permit application, the company plans to construct a 664-square-foot kiosk with drive-thru service at 1202 Austin Highway — a job that will total an estimated $350,000.
When asked why the chain has decided to expand in San Antonio, a Scooter’s Coffee representative shares, “New Scooter’s Coffee locations are chosen by a number of factors. A lot of times, the franchisees have a connection to the community. Other times, we see that a community shares our core values.”
In line with existing outposts, patrons can expect to find specialty espresso beverages, single-origin coffee, fruit smoothies, Red Bull infusions, cold brew, ready-to-drink canned flavored lattes, made-from-scratch pastries, and “savory” breakfast options, as well as the chain’s signature drink, the Caramelicious.
While the opening date for this location seems to be sometime next year, San Antonio residents won’t have to wait that long — a Scooter’s Coffee Spokesperson tells What Now San Antonio that a drive-thru kiosk is also coming to 10911 Fredericksburg Road, and is estimated to open in March 2023.
