It looks like a new wine lounge is coming to Old Sacramento.

Clarksburg-based Heringer Estates Family Vineyards & Winery, a multigenerational estate known for its 30 different wine varietals and blends, is expanding to the historic district with a new concept: The Parliament Wine Lounge.

The winery has applied for a license through the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to sell wine at 1001 Second St, according to Sacramento Business Journal.

Heringer Wines currently operates a tasting room, event center, and wine club on its 100-acre family farm at 37375 Netherlands Rd. The winery is also a popular destination for live music.

When it opens, The Parliament Wine Lounge will occupy a space in the historic Heywood’s Building next door to Pittador Brews Specialty Teas & Coffees, which is set to debut this summer.

Director of Operations Steve Heringer confirmed the plans with What Now Sacramento but noted that the project is still in its “tentative phase.” He promised to share more details soon. For updates, follow The Parliament Wine Lounge on social media @theparliamentwinelounge.
