The DMV dining scene appears to be getting a little healthier, with an assist from an expanding North Eastern chain. Life Alive Organic Cafe has plans to open a new location in Alexandria, reports local media outlet ALXNow.
The nutritious fast-casual eatery will be a part of the upgrades planned for 400 King Street. A rendering submitted to the City of Alexandria Board of Architectural Review shows that the eatery intends to offer outdoor seating, which is certain to be a draw given the scenic nature of the restaurant’s location.
The plans will undergo consideration on Wednesday, March 19, making it difficult to project an opening date.
Life Alive Organic first planted its flag in the fast-casual restaurant scene in 2004. The chain was founded with the simple but respectable goal of offering healthy options in a calm and relaxing environment. Every meal is prepared from scratch with sustainable, ethical ingredients.
Guests will find no shortage of options; the menu offers grain bowls, salads, noodles, soups, and acai bowls.
