At the Huntington Beach Sports Complex, the 1909: Craft Beer & Concessions building will receive some upgrades. According to permits filed with the city, there are plans to add patio dining to the food and drink concept at the complex, which is located at the 18100 Goldenwest St. compound.

HBSC Partners, LLC will operate the 1909 venture. The entity has managed and partnered with the City of Huntington Beach, which owns the sports center, since 2021. A lease agreement shows the business signed a five-year lease with the option to extend by two additional 5-year periods.

The menu features BBQ favorites like the brisket sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, BBQ chicken salad, BBQ nachos, and BBQ style dog. Other options include the chili dog, smashburger, superfood salad, and chicken bites. 1909 will also serve desserts like soft serve, ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, and cold brew. Beer and wine sales are pending.

1909 will offer convenient service options like QR and mobile ordering, and delivery of food right to the fields. A proposal shows that HBSC Partners expects the project to take 8 to 12 weeks, and while work is being done, it will have limited concessions service and sell snack bar items.
