A renowned local restaurant group is preparing to expand its already impressive portfolio with a new concept: Balboa Pizza, which will open later this year in the Old Port of Montreal.
This is the latest from Tomahawk Group, which is responsible for Santos, Mignon’s, Pastek, June, Sunday Cafe, Matí Taverna, Felix Boutique, Uniburger, Boost Fitness, and Negroni Room. The team plans to open Balboa Pizza in the Summer of 2025 with the help of La Chambre Design & Co. and Le Studio Amen. Tomahawk Group is a Montreal-based collective of versatile venues, including restaurants, wine bars, nightclubs, cocktail bars, healthy fast-casual, brunch spots, fashion, and fitness. With over 20 years of experience, the company is at the forefront of the industry, creating unique experiences through beautiful decor, delicious dining, professional service, and highly shareable moments.
While the restaurant group hasn’t shared any details about the concept, it will be a successful landing in a lively neighborhood full of history, culture, and things to do. The neighborhood already features plenty of places to eat, like Le Club Chasse et Pêche for fine French cuisine or Vieux-Port Steakhouse for a classic steak dinner. Balboa Pizza will add more dining options in the area, with plenty of attractions to create foot traffic for the new business. Hopefully, Customers will come from the Montreal Science Centre and the stunning Notre-Dame Basilica. Nearby are La Grande Roue de Montréal, the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, and the Clock Tower. Whether you’re into food, shopping, or sightseeing, Old Port has something for everyone.
