A savory pie pop-up is cooking up its first brick-and-mortar location.

Heaps has signed a lease at 2752 E Ponce de Leon Avenue in Decatur, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The counter-service shop is expected to open this winter.

Heaps offers a rotating range of savory pies inspired by the cuisine of New Zealand, the roots of owner Jake Harvey. Among the varieties: carnitas al pastor, roast chicken pot pie and thai chicken curry. The menu also includes sausage rolls and fish and chips.

“We incorporate all sorts of savory cuisines from across the globe to put inside a uniform, double crust,” according to the Heaps website. “Although these pies originated in New Zealand, we’ve added a whole heap of flavor, while keeping some traditional Kiwi classics around.”

Heaps has been operating for six years, selling pies wholesale and at pop-ups around Atlanta, which Harvey plans to continue.
