Spavia Day Spa, the luxury day spa franchise, is building on its 20-year legacy and expanding into new communities that crave an elevated, yet affordable self-care experience.

Spavia announced its latest expansion into Lakewood’s Belmar Shopping District spearheaded by local entrepreneur Marisa Rybar. Marking the brand’s 9th location in Colorado, Rybar is passionate about bringing Spavia’s resort-inspired amenities closer to home, aiming to meet Lakewood and West Denver’s growing demand for innovative, personalized wellness options. From result-driven facials and tension-relief massages to detoxifying body wraps, waxing, and lash extensions, Spavia offers a fully customizable self-care experience with something for everyone. Spavia Belmar is slated to open in the summer of this year.

“I’ve visited spas across the country, but Spavia always stood out,” said Rybar in a statement. “As a loyal member of the Spavia Greenwood Village location, this was my place for a complete mental and physical detox. From the robe and slippers to the aromatherapy and inspirational reading, every detail is designed to help guests feel relaxed, recentered and renewed. When the opportunity arose to bring this experience to others, I knew it was the perfect fit for my next chapter.”

With a background in marketing and technology, Rybar’s journey to Spavia was driven by a deep desire to align her career with her passion for wellness while maintaining a balanced lifestyle and making a meaningful impact. Her decision was further solidified after being introduced to Spavia’s philanthropic initiative, Spavia Cares, which resonated deeply with her values, as it empowers each location to partner with local nonprofits, fostering connections and making a tangible difference in the community.

“Marisa’s personal connection to Spavia, alongside her dedication to fostering wellness makes her an exceptional addition to our franchise family,” said Marty Langenderfer, CEO and Co-Founder of Spavia. “We are thrilled to see her expand Spavia’s resort-inspired experience to the Belmar Shopping Strict in downtown Lakewood and to watch her thrive as a business owner.”

In addition to its treatments, each Spavia location includes a spa boutique, which provides a wide range of retail offerings, purchasable by guests to extend their self-care routines at home or for gifting occasions. Retail categories include premium skincare products, recovery tools, candles, jewelry, and more. For those looking to routinely prioritize self-care, Spavia also offers three affordable membership tiers: Essential, Premier, and Ultimate wellness programs that come with added perks.

As the brand continues its national expansion efforts, Spavia is embarking on an ambitious franchise development phase, with a target of reaching 200 locations within the next decade. Building upon its 20-year proven track record, Spavia is strategically focused on expanding into major metropolitan areas across the United States, with an initial focus on cities within Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
