A local Latin American-inspired eatery and market is relocating.
La Bodega is bringing their popular pupusas, fresh produce and more to 1975 Sylvan Road in the space occupied by D&D Barbeque.
The concept comes from Ken Katz and Jeannette Flores-Katz. They opened Buenos Dias Cafe in downtown Atlanta in 2012, followed by La Bodega at the Met in 2019. In addition to serving Latin American-inspired cuisine from a take-out window, they hosted up-and-coming chefs and pop-up restaurants at the space.
The owners “can’t wait to continue serving our community from this historic spot,” they wrote in a social media post announcing the move to Sylvan Hills.
La Bodega features fresh ingredients with plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. The menu includes pupusas, thick corn tortillas stuffed with a variety of fillings. You may have seen La Bodega and their pupusas at farmers markets around Atlanta, offering both ready-to-eat and frozen take-home varieties.
Ken Katz told What Now Atlanta it is still too early to have an exact opening timeline of the new location.
