A new footwear store could be coming to Atlanta.

Lucchese Bootmaker is proposed for 3035 Peachtree Road, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The site is located in Buckhead Village.

Founded in 1883, Lucchese Bootmaker sells luxury-level Western boots for men and women, as well as apparel, accessories and leather goods. The Dallas-based brand became the official boot of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders in 2011.

There are currently about 26 brick-and-mortar Lucchese storefronts across the U.S., mostly in Texas but also in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Tennessee and Oklahoma.

The brand’s increased retail expansion in recent years comes amid the trend of Western wear, with millennials and Gen Z embracing cowboy boots as a fashion statement seen on some of their favorite idols. And they’ve got Post Malone’s approval; the music artist referenced the brand in a 2023 song called “Texas Tea” with the line “got them Lucchese boots on my feet.”

Lucchese Bootmaker would be joining other apparel brands at Buckhead Village, including Jenni Kanye, Billy Reid, Theory, rag & bone, Veronica Beard and the newly opened Brochu Walker.

Other boot brands are making their mark in the Peach State as well; Tecovas recently opened a store in Alpharetta.
