Salad and Go is preparing to return to Arizona, starting with its former restaurant at 3299 E. Williams Field Road in Gilbert. Mike Myers, one of the partners behind the revival, told What Now Phoenix the group hopes to take possession of the location during the first week of November 2026.

Myers and Tom Misitano, co-founders of Hospitality First Concepts, are working with Daniel Patiño, Salad and Go’s founding chef, to rebuild the business. Misitano was also an original investor in the brand.

Beyond Salt and Pepper LLC’s winning bids covered Salad and Go’s intellectual property for $180,000 and two store leases for $1 each, as Mouth by Southwest reported. The leases are for 3299 E. Williams Field Road in Gilbert and 1040 W. Southern Avenue in Mesa.

The chain filed for bankruptcy in August and closed its remaining restaurants that month.

Myers said the partners are still working through details of the bankruptcy trustee sale and have identified two to seven potential locations they hope to reopen.

“We’re excited to start in Gilbert, where it all began,” Myers said. “We’ll refresh the store with new paint, upgraded kitchen equipment and some new technology, with a target of opening within about 45 days of taking possession, depending on approvals and other factors outside our control.”

The corporate team is in place, staff training will begin shortly, and Patiño is preparing the recipes for the return. A reopening date for Mesa has not been announced.

“After the first opening, we’re aiming to open additional stores sequentially, roughly every 30 to 45 days,” Myers said.

The partners also intend to explore markets outside Arizona, though Myers said their immediate priority is rebuilding the brand locally.

“This brand means so much to its loyal customers here, and we want to earn that loyalty every day with incredible hospitality, fresh ingredients and, of course, the orange salad bowls everyone loves,” he added.
