Bludso’s BBQ opening first Atlanta location in Castleberry Hill Aug. 6.
Atlanta will soon get a “taste of Texas style barbecue” in Castleberry Hill.
California-based Bludso’s BBQ submitted a building permit application to City of Atlanta this week to make commercial alterations to existing restaurant space, at 323 Walker St.
Damien Scroggins, co-owner of Bludso’s BBQ in Compton California, is opening the new Castleberry Hill barbecue joint in space formerly occupied by The Olde Kitchen, according to Bludso’s BBQ’s Atlanta website.
The barbecue restaurant is slated to open August 6, according to the Bludso’s Atlanta Facebook page.

I would think that a NC style BBQ with it’s pepper-vinegar sauces would be more welcome. I can’t handle the syrupy sweet sauce that most places use.
D.B.A!! I don’t get to eat it often, as we live in Paulding County, but hubby makes sure to stop in and eat while he’s working……then come home and rub it in!! HAHA seriously though, GO TRY D.B.A. BBQ!!!
What now…is it the year of BBQ or something? They seem to be popping up everywhere. I’ll stick to my staples like D.B.A. Barbecue and Fox Bros.
I’m with the group… gimme DBA BBQ any day of the week. Actually, EVERY day of the week!!
