A new fast-casual taco restaurant is now open in Decatur.

The location at 163 Clairemont Avenue is the second Rusty Taco in Georgia, followed by an opening in Summerhill.

Rusty Taco aims to be a simple neighborhood taco joint, offering more than 20 unique taco options, including baja shrimp, fried chicken and brisket, alongside margaritas made with fresh lime juice. Guests can also enjoy queso, salsas and guacamole, all made in-house daily.

Rusty Fenton founded Rusty Taco, opening the first location in Dallas, Texas, in 2010, with his wife Denise Fenton. There are now more than 30 locations across 12 states.

The new location in Decatur is owned and operated by MBC Concessions, a group of experienced restaurant operators. The team plans to open eight additional locations in the market over the next several years.

“As we continue to grow in the Atlanta area, Decatur stood out as the perfect community to bring Rusty Taco to next,” MBC Concessions President and CEO Justin Triplett said in a statement. “The unique menu with multiple dayparts and unmatched flavor profile presents a fantastic opportunity for the market. We can’t wait for the new restaurant to be a staple in the Decatur community and serve guests in the market for years to come.”

In addition to Triplett, Lucian Dillingham (founder and chairman), Michael Gorospe (director of operations) and Ty Williams, (director of human resources) are leading the charge of developing Rusty Taco in Atlanta.

Rusty Taco is hiring for several positions at the Decatur location. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online or visit the restaurant.
