A popular local Thai restaurant is continuing to expand in metro Atlanta.

26 Thai Kitchen and Bar is planning to open a new location in Alpharetta at 210 S Main Street. The space at The Maxwell shopping center was formerly occupied by City Eats Kitchen.

This will be the ninth location of 26 Thai, which can currently be found in Buckhead, Midtown, Dunwoody, Brookhaven, The Battery, Politan Row at Ashford Lane and Politan Row at Colony Square. The restaurant is also set to open another location at The Forum Peachtree Corners soon.

Niki Pattharakositkul first opened 26 Thai in 2016. The menu features authentic Thai cuisine, including classics like pad thai, massaman curry and tom yum soup. The new Alpharetta location will also include several exclusive dishes, like khao soi lobster, red curry duck and Thai chili crab fried rice.

The restaurant feature a revamped beverage program created by Sean Gleason, former beverage director of Biltong Bar. Expect Thai-inspired craft cocktails and a curated beer and wine menu. There will be a full bar and an outdoor service window for guests to enjoy drinks on the spacious patio.

The Alpharetta space will blend “contemporary design with warm, inviting touches, and subtle nods to Thai artistry.”

26 Thai is expected to open in Alpharetta in March 2025.
