A quick-service Southern restaurant chain is expanding to Irwin County.

Jack’s Family Restaurants is bringing a new location soon to Ocilla at 601 N Irwin Avenue. The new location will bring 50 to 60 new jobs to Ocilla, according to an announcement.

The Jack’s menu includes made-from-scratch biscuits, hand-breaded fried chicken, hand-dipped milkshakes and other Southern staples.

“We’re thrilled to bring Jack’s to Ocilla,” Jack’s Family Restaurants CEO Todd Bartmess said in a statement. “Whether you’re heading to the Annual Georgia Sweet Potato Festival, enjoying the Prater Music Fest or simply looking for a place to share a warm meal, Jack’s is excited to welcome you!”

The Jack’s concept first began in Alabama in 1960 as a walk-up hamburger stand. It has since grown to more than 260 locations in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

The brand that’s “all about the South” has continued to grow in the Peach State, with locations planned for Dublin and LaFayette.
