The Chocolate-maker’s fourth location coming soon to Buckhead Atlanta.

Cacao Atlanta Chocolate Company, a retailer of handmade artisan chocolates founded in 2004 by Kristen Hard, is planning a retail shop for Buckhead Atlanta.

The mixed-use development Tuesday filed a building permit application with City of Atlanta to make commercial alterations to a 600-square-foot space for the new Cacao boutique.

Cacao had a location in Buckhead, at 2817 Peachtree Road, that shuttered in 2013 after the store experienced smoke damage from a fire at Peachtree Bikes next door.

Cacao’s Buckhead Atlanta store could open in March, according to the chocolate-maker’s website.

Cacao has its flagship store in Virginia-Highland, will open a new boutique in the Inman Quarter development this month, and has a “factory store” in Underwood Hills.

Food and Wine recently listed Cacao as having the “Best Chocolate in the U.S.” alongside Vosges, Godiva Cake Truffles, Theo, Lindt and Mass Brothers.
