A new restaurant appears to be in the works in Inman Park.
A concept called Silk Thai Kitchen is planned for a space near the corner of North Highland Avenue NE and Elizabeth Street NE, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. Construction documents indicate plans for a bar, indoor seating and outdoor seating. The projected cost of construction on the 1,098-square-foot space is $240,000, according to the application.
Silk Thai Kitchen would be joining nearby concepts in the neighborhood like oyster bar and cocktail lounge BeetleCat and the Mexican restaurant Pure Taqueria.
Construction documents list Alex Kinjo as the owner of Silk Thai Kitchen. Kinjo has been involved with several other restaurant projects in Atlanta, including MF Sushi, Kinjo Room and Yuji, which recently opened at Junction Krog District along the BeltLine.
Kinjo could not be reached for more information about Silk Thai Kitchen or its projected timeline.
