A popular local Italian restaurant is cooking up its third location in metro Atlanta.

Varuni Napoli is slated to join High Street this winter in a 3,000-square-foot space fronting the development’s greenspace. The restaurant will feature signature menu items like the Margherita Pizza, Maradona Pizza and Reginella Calzone, along with a carefully curated wine bar offering authentic Italian wines.

The eatery comes from Atlanta restaurateur Luca Varuni, who played a key role in launching Antico Pizza. Varuni Napolia first opened in Midtown in 2014, followed by a second location at Krog Street Market in 2017.

“I’ve been passionate about bringing the finest pizza and authentic Italian flavors to Atlanta for nearly two decades,” Varuni said in a statement. “Expanding to Atlanta’s Perimeter is an exciting step in sharing the spirit of southern Italy with even more of the metro Atlanta community.”

Varuni Napoli at High Street will include an outdoor patio and feature high-quality ingredients imported from Naples, Italy.

It will join several other dining options already open at High Street, including Cuddlefish, Agave Bandido, Nando’s PERi-PERi and Velvet Taco.

High Street, a multiphase $2 billion mixed-use destination, is located at the intersection of Perimeter Center Parkway and Hammond Drive, where Dunwoody meets Sandy Springs. At full build-out, the 36-acre project will feature 10 city blocks.

“Bringing Varuni Napoli to High Street is a perfect example of our vision for the retail and restaurant mix,” GID Senior Vice President Wendy Adam said in a statement. “We are focused on blending nationally recognized brands with beloved Atlanta favorites to create an elevated shopping and dining destination. Following a successful wave of openings, we’re building on that momentum, continuing to attract top-tier retailers, and further enhancing High Street’s holistic experience.”
