According to a recent permit filing, plans are in place to bring a new coffee shop to downtown Columbus at 330 S High St, in the space that formerly housed Bonjour Cafe. As detailed in the permit, there’s proposed work to perform minor alterations to the space that include a kitchen remodel and adding a new hood, along with some plumbing and electrical work.

A representative with the forthcoming coffee shop, called Urban Coffee Shop, tells What Now Columbus that the plan is to open the business in March. While most of the alteration work centers around the kitchen area, the interior will have capacity to seat just under 100 guests and there are plans to serve food in addition to coffee, according to the representative.

The menu is still being developed, but guests can expect to find American and Mediterranean style food and when it comes to the coffee served, the drink menu will feature a blend of European style coffees and “Starbucks style” beverages.
