Atlanta Pickleball Center planned near Topgolf

Atlanta Pickleball Center says it will offer ten, regulation-size indoor courts, with an opening expected in mid-October.

An indoor pickleball center is in the works for Atlanta’s Upper Westside, not far from Topgolf Atlanta.

A permit was filed to bring the Atlanta Pickleball Center to 1359 Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard. The project will convert a nearly 33,000-square-foot industrial space, according to the permit.

A website for the Atlanta Pickleball Center says it will offer ten, regulation-size indoor courts, with an opening expected in mid-October. 

An email to Robb Herzfeld, general manager of Atlanta Pickleball Center, was not returned.

Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It’s become the fastest-growing sport in America, according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association, with more than 4.8 million participants nationwide.
