Mindzai Creative, a design studio, print shop, and art gallery with locations in Atlanta and Austin, is being forced to relocate its store, at 728 Ralph McGill Blvd NE, to make way for a new apartment complex.

“We received 60 days notice,” Susannah Caviness, Atlanta manager and gallery curator at Mindzai, told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation Sunday.

“Our very last day in May 10.”

A building permit application was filed with City of Atlanta Friday to buildout Mindzai’s new Atlanta storefront, at 1146 Euclid Avenue NE, in Little Five Points.

“Issues with the building permit process will push our grand opening, but we’re hoping to be up and running June 1.”

Mindzai’s current Old Fourth Ward home is slated to be redeveloped into a six-story apartment building by North American Properties.
