A new full-service salon called Local Honey is planned for Moreland Avenue in East Atlanta.

A building permit was filed for the renovation of suite A at the 714 Moreland Avenue commercial center for the new tenant. The space was previously occupied by the now-closed Medly Pharmacy. The cost of construction is listed as $85,000, and the space is 3,130 square feet, according to the permit filing.

Local Honey is a multi-location hair salon owned by Luke Tidwell. There are two locations in Nashville (519 Gallatin Avenue and 2106 8th Avenue South) and one in Lexington (501 North Limestone Street).

Local Honey Moreland Atlanta LLC was created earlier this year with Tidwell listed as the manager, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office. Tidwell was not immediately available for comment.

An accessory shop called Boho Gal and a Japanese restaurant called OK YAKI are also located at 714 Moreland Avenue.
