Patty Slaps, a popular smash burger restaurant located at 1449 Rue Sainte-Catherine Street in Montreal’s Golden Square Mile, is getting ready to open a new location in Mount Royal at 5050 De la Côte-de-Liesse Rd.

The company’s second location is set to move into the Royalmount, Montreal’s premier luxury district that features a unique shopping destination combining prestigious boutiques, restaurants, and immersive cultural experiences, according to the shopping center’s website. The new Patty Slap is expected to open in Winter 2025, around the same time as other new concepts landing in the mall, such as Momiji by Otto and Sansotie.

These three new concepts are the last of six new eateries coming to Royalmount this year, as Ganadara, Homi, and Milestones are expected to open in Spring 2025. Patty Slaps will offer a variety of smash burgers crafted with AAA Canadian beef patties, melted cheese, house-made sauces, and fresh toppings, all nestled in a soft, slightly sweet pretzel bun.

“At Patty Slaps, we take pride in our culinary artistry,” according to the company’s website. “Our ingredients are meticulously sourced and handpicked to ensure only the freshest and finest elements grace your plate. Our blend of chuck and brisket forms the foundation of our delectable patties, and every element – from our locally-supplied pretzel buns to our house-made sauces – is a testament to our commitment to excellence.”

Patty Slaps, founded in 2023 by Montreal-based restaurateurs Ehsan Baghaki, Hamed Massoumi, Mohammad Mehmanchi, and Keyvan Moradi, has quickly gained acclaim for its gourmet-style smash burgers. The team aimed to merge fast food convenience with fine dining quality, targeting the student-rich area near Concordia University.

Looking ahead, Patty Slaps plans to open 40 locations across Canada over the next five years, with a focus on high-traffic areas in Montreal, Ontario, and British Columbia. The brand’s success is attributed to its commitment to quality ingredients, innovative technology, and a vibrant dining experience. With a strong foundation and ambitious expansion plans, Patty Slaps is poised to become a significant player in Canada’s fast-casual dining scene.

“We’re not just about food; we’re about innovation,” according to the company’s website. “Our in-house artists pour their creativity into every graphic and animation, giving our brand a unique visual identity. Our cutting-edge technology, from our convenient self-serve kiosks to our user-friendly app, ensures that your experience is seamless and hassle-free. And we’re not stopping here – stay tuned for exciting seasonal offerings and creative collaborations that push the boundaries of burger perfection.”
