Taco Bell, the internationally ubiquitous Tex-Mex fast casual restaurant, will soon be building up a Hutto outpost, according to recent public records. The restaurant will be located at 2320 FM 685.
Construction notes examined by What Now Austin list a “construction of new QSR restaurant with drive thru and associated site improvements” that will cost around $900,000 and reach completion by September.
The location will be run by Tacala, a franchisee of Taco Bell that runs over 350 locations across the nation.
“Tacala’s Founders, Dick Reese and Don Ghareeb opened our first Taco Bell in 1989 in Columbiana, Alabama. Taco Bell locations have more than tripled in the past 30+ years, and Tacala has grown to over 340 locations in the Southeast and Texas. Altamont Capital Partners invested in Tacala in 2012 and has helped drive explosive unit growth over the past eight years. In recognition of Don Ghareeb’s impact on our company and culture, he was named Chairman Emeritus,” their website states.
“Even after 30 years and 340+ Taco Bell restaurants our focus has stayed the same: serve our customers, serve our teams, and serve our communities with kindness. We call this our Here To Serve principle; it’s what we do and a credit to our success.”
No opening date has been announced.
