After a rave review from Keith Lee in August 2023, Kajunlicious Food Therapy in Gentilly was forced to close just one month later due to an overwhelming surge in demand. But now, it appears the popular Cajun food spot is preparing to return to a location nearby at 4706 Paris Ave. According to a post on Instagram, the search to find a new location took about a year. While the old takeout spot was easily overwhelmed by the Keith Lee surge, the new location for Kajunlicious will be a full sit-down restaurant. An opening date has not been announced, and What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.
The original incarnation of Kajunlicious was known for both its food and service. According to a permit filing with the City of New Orleans, the new restaurant will focus on providing “a complete dining experience, offering a wide range of food and drink options, along with attentive table service.”
