Popular Acadiana chain KOK Wings & Things is reportedly adding a fifth location as the restaurant continues its expansion plans for Louisiana. The fifth storefront will be in Youngsville, as a property owner in the city confirmed the restaurant leased a space near the Youngsville Sports Complex, according to The Advocate. Construction of the new location is expected to finish by January.
The expansion follows the Lafayette-founded brand’s recent opening of its fourth brick-and-mortar spot, which was previously covered by What Now New Orleans. Originally launched in 2016 by four UL students, KOK has grown from house-party food sales into a food truck before opening its first physical location in 2018. The company has since expanded into Baton Rouge and New Iberia while building a devoted fanbase for its fried wings, signature sauces like Sum Nasty, loaded fries, and seafood. Co-founder Tre’Jan Vinson told What Now New Orleans that plans for a Crescent City location are in the cards.
