La Quinta Baking Company, a longtime favorite nestled in the Coachella Valley since 2002, is set to change ownership. According to a public notice published in The Desert Sun this month, an upcoming bulk sale will see the business, located at 78395 CA-111, change hands.
Choukair Restaurant Group, the buyer, will assume all the assets from current owner Desert Citrus Enterprises LLC; this includes fixtures, equipment, and the liquor license. The transaction, which is reportedly being facilitated through The Escrow Connection firm, is expected to close by the first week of May. Neither party returned a request for comment in time for publication.
With European-inspired breakfast, lunch, and bakery items, La Quinta Baking Company has become an integral part of the food scene in town. The eatery has a scenic outdoor patio where you can enjoy the nice weather, grab a bite, and relax.
Family-owned hospitality company Choukair Restaurant Group is based in San Diego and run by siblings Jordan and Alexendra Choukair. The corporation manages several SoCal restaurants, including Oggi’s Sports Brewhouse Pizza, The Good Egg, and The Incredible Egg (which What Now Media covered).
