Les Filles Fattoush, a popular Middle Eastern eatery in Montreal, will move to the Jean-Talon Market at 7070 Henri Julien Ave.

Les Filles Fattoush is a Montreal-based social enterprise founded in 2017 by Adelle Tarzibachi and Josette Gauthier. The organization provides employment opportunities for Syrian refugee women, enabling them to share their culinary traditions and integrate into Canadian society. Their offerings include ready-to-eat meals, such as hummus, baba ganoush, and muhammara, as well as a range of Middle Eastern grocery products. The team is now preparing to move to a new location in Montreal next month.

“We’re moving to Jean-Talon Market for good – opening in June,” according to the company’s social media. “After 6 years of sharing our passion for Syrian cuisine, we are happy to announce the opening of our brand new permanent point of sale in the heart of Jean-Talon Market starting this June! Over the past few years, many of you have asked us for it. So, here we go! It’s the next logical step in our journey, and we are so happy to make this project a reality thanks to you.”

While the company is in the midst of this transition, the team provided an update as to what you can expect in the new store: a warm place, designed to take you on a journey through Middle Eastern cuisine; a ready-to-eat counter with bulk dishes, hot mezzes and their famous spreads; and a grocery store bringing together all the essentials for cooking the Middle East.

Les Filles Fattoush is more than just a job; it is about connection, culture, and confidence. The initiative offers professional women from diverse backgrounds—like lawyers, journalists, and fitness instructors—a chance to reconnect with their community and share their skills. While there are still challenges, the project has become a powerful, community-focused path to inclusion and empowerment. The team plans to carry that mission forward at their new location.
