Louisiana-based fried chicken chain Raising Cane’s has another location on the way to Midtown Nashville. It has plans for a new build at 1819 Broadway, according to a permit recently filed with Metro.
The permit indicates plans for a two-story, 5,800-square-foot restaurant, which will include interior and exterior dining options. The spot will join locations for the chain already open in Nashville, including a spot on White Bridge Pike and a spot on Lower Broadway that opened last June.
Raising Cane’s, known for its fried chicken combos, which include chicken, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast and Cane’s sauce, has expanded to more than 800 restaurants. It launched in 1996 when founder Todd Graves opened the first Raising Cane’s in Baton Rouge.
The brand prides itself on serving hand-battered premium chicken that is marinated for 24 hours and Cane’s sauce that is made fresh daily, according to its website. Raising Cane’s also serves other Southern classics like coleslaw and sweet iced tea.
As of now, an opening timeline for the new location in Nashville remains unclear.
Raising Cane’s has other locations in the works across the country, including in Florida, Michigan and Washington. It is also preparing to make its Memphis debut this fall.
