Whataburger is bringing its Texas-sized flavors to York County for the first time.
Popular fast-food chain Whataburger announced plans to open its first location in York County. The new restaurant will be in Rock Hill, with a tentative opening set for spring 2026, a company spokesperson told What Now Charleston.
According to The Post and Courier, Whataburger will occupy the former O’Charley’s site at 2265 Cross Pointe Dr.
The menu features classic burgers, including options to triple-stack, as well as chicken sandwiches. Fans can enjoy favorites such as the sweet and spicy bacon burger, Whataburger patty melt and honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich. Specialty options include the signature avocado bacon burger and jalapeño and cheese bacon burger.
Whataburger also offers boneless chicken nugget bundles called Whatawings, which come with sauces such as honey BBQ, honey butter, buffalo and sweet and spicy. Breakfast items include pancakes, burritos and biscuit sandwiches.
Whataburger currently has 11 locations in South Carolina, with the closest in Columbia and Spartanburg. The chain also plans to open two new restaurants in the Charlotte area.
