According to recent public records, a well-established restaurant group is opening their newest concept in Thornton Park.
The Orlando-based Team Market Group next month will open its newest eatery–June–at 700 E. Washington Street.
Readers may recognize the space formerly housed Graffiti Junktion in the neighborhood until July 2024, when the restaurant’s ownership leave the space. Reportedly, an entity connected to Team Market Group paid $2.275 million to buy the Thornton Park property.
“A full menu for June has not been released yet, but its website states the restaurant will feature an open wood-fired kitchen with seasonal proteins and vegetables, as well as an emphasis on minimal refined sugars, not using seed oils and a focus on gluten-free options,” the report states.
However, the website lists some important principles: “Uncompromised flavor. Proteins & vegetables, led by the season; Seed Oil Free. Only clean, traditional oils. No industrial processing; Minimal Refined Sugars. We lean on natural sources and never overdo it. Gluten-Free Focus. We prioritize unrefined ingredients, with gluten-free at the core.”
Readers may recall Team Market Group as the parent company of a variety of local concepts, including Mather’s Social Gathering, The Phoenix, vegan burger joint Plantees, Primrose Lanes, The Acre, The Wellborn, Taco Kat, The Robinson Room, Alfie’s HiFi and Nuri’s Tavern.
No exact opening has been announced.
