An omakase concept is aiming to join Hudson Yards on the ground floor at 460 West 34th Street, according to liquor license paperwork filed with Community Board 4.
The concept, whose name is listed as “pending” on the paperwork, will feature two bars that will seat 20 customers in total.
Hiroki Mitsuhashi is listed as the principle behind the new concept. Mitsuhashi is the president of the U.S. branch of Tokyo-based Digital Garage, a payment solution and e-commerce marketing company, according to Mitsuhashi’s Linkedin page.
He is also behind Skyblue Hospitality LLC and Bay Blue Hospitality LLC, according to the paperwork.
The menu for this new spot includes a seasonal, 15-piece omakase Edomae sushi experience that will cost $125. Nigiri and sashimi will also be available for purchase a la carte, and there will be some appetizers available such as Wagyu beef tataki.
Plans call for updates to the signage to reflect the new business name. The hours of operation are expected to be 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. daily.
What Now New York reached out to a representative but could not obtain further details prior to the time of publication. An opening timeline remains unknown.
This is not the only new omakase experience on the way to the city this year. A casual omakase experience called Techi is planning an opening in Hell’s Kitchen this fall.
