A first-of-its-kind “drink around the world” concept is coming to Memphis, blending global fusion with craft cocktails and international cuisine.

Vineeth Sheelam, owner of Cafe India, is launching Booze Factory and Ultimate Bar and Grill—a new venture where guests can sample dishes from around the world paired with a curated cocktail.

“The main reason why we have gone the route of Booze Factory was that Memphis is a place which was lacking a drink place which will have a mix of cocktails from different continents,” Sheelam told What Now Memphis. “We’re not just having popular American cocktails on the menu but we want to bring in a menu which will have my customers go around tasting different drinks from around the world.”

While American cocktails will be available, the bar will spotlight drinks from India, Asia, Mexico and Canada, along with whiskey and other global spirits.

The food menu will follow suit, offering internationally inspired cuisine grouped by region—such as Mexican, Italian, Americano, Middle Eatz and Wok This Way Asian. Each dish will be paired with a recommended cocktail.

Sheelam said staff are trained to guide guests through pairings.

“Nimbu Pani, which is an Indian-style lemonade booze, would go really well with Mexican Street Tacos,” Sheelam said. “The combination of the strong, limey flavor and a little bit of spice from the tacos and the sweetness and saltiness from the Nimbu Pani pairs well together.”

While an official opening date has yet to be set, Sheelam said they hope to open by the end of June, once the food menu is finalized.
