421 Hookah Lounge will open above the Sweet Auburn restaurant.
A new cigar and hookah concept is planned for the roof of Delightful Eatz.
Joyce King, the restaurant’s owner, this week filed plans with the City of Atlanta to add a 3,367-square-foot rooftop lounge called 421 Hookah Lounge atop the existing restaurant at 421 Edgewood Avenue SE.
“We want to provide an additional place at Delightful Eatz where people are welcomed to relax, chill, and stay for a while,” King told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone call this week.
The rooftop addition will include an “upscale, electric” full bar with cigar and hookah options.
While hookah is already available on the ground level where Delightful Eatz is situated, King hopes to open a portion of the second level by the end of September. The entire 421 Hookah Lounge rooftop space is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
Hookah bars are popping up left and right. But if they will have a winning combination of good food, good music, and fast service, they should make out jus fine. Best of luck to this place.
