It looks like Hop Valley Brewing is seeking a new location in Eugene.
Hop Valley recently put in a liquor license application at 1400 Cross Street for a “public house additional location.” The brewery currently has two locations, one at 980 Kruse Way in Springfield and the other at 990 W 1st Avenue in Eugene, both less than a couple hours from Portland.
“Our innovative, colorfully named and approachable beers proudly show our true character,” says the description on their website.
The brewery is owned by Tilray Brands, which acquired the brewery from Molson Coors in August of 2024. It was reported in April by KEZI9 that Hop Valley would close production in Eugene but continue to brew at 10 Barrel in Bend and Widmer Brothers in Portland. However, with this application at Cross Street, this could be a change of scenery.
Their many IPAs are on tap at their two locations. They also sell pale ales, juicy lagers, imperials, stouts, hefeweisens other types of light ales. The pubs located inside the breweries have sandwiches and wraps, tacos, burgers and kids options.
The building the brewery is seeking space for seems to be empty at the moment. It is in the Whiteaker neighborhood near Maurie Jacobs Park. It is not surrounded by many restaurants except Pyre Nashville Hot Chicken.
