Brewed Awakenings is expanding across Clark County, with a new coffee shop in Battle Ground set to open around the first week of January 2027. Owner Todd Gunderson confirmed to What Now Portland that the company’s shops in Camas and La Center will follow, “probably pretty close to May and June 2027.”

The Battle Ground shop will be at 1305 W. Main St., in West Main Commons, a mixed-use development near Main Street and SW 13th Avenue. It will have indoor seating along Main Street. The Camas shop is planned for the Palisades development near SE Brady Road and SE 192nd Avenue, and the La Center shop will be near Interstate 5 at Exit 16. Street addresses for those two sites haven’t been released.

The three shops will bring the company to 10 locations in Washington and Oregon. Its seven open cafés are in Vancouver (four locations), Ridgefield, Bend and Sunriver. Brewed Awakenings, which has been roasting its own coffee since 1989, calls Battle Ground “one of our most requested locations for years.”

West Main Commons is a 225-unit apartment community with about 28,000 square feet of retail space in four buildings, being built by Deacon Development. According to The Reflector, other signed tenants include OnPoint Community Credit Union, Edward Jones, Barbie Lounge and a ramen restaurant, and the first retail spaces were expected by the end of 2026. Brewed Awakenings was one of the project’s first commercial tenants.

The Palisades development in Camas is a large, planned community of homes, offices, parks, restaurants and shops, with a hotel on the way, while La Center, along the I-5 corridor north of Vancouver, has been gaining new development near the freeway.

Gunderson said the company wants to bring more than coffee to each community. “We’ve been serving coffee in the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years, and one thing we’ve learned is that a great coffee shop is about a whole lot more than coffee,” Gunderson told What Now Portland. “It’s about good people, familiar faces and making an everyday experience feel a little more special. ‘Down the street from ordinary’ has always represented what we believe a coffee shop should be. We’re proud to serve some of the best coffee around, and even more proud of the communities that have made Brewed Awakenings what it is today. We can’t wait to bring a little of that to Battle Ground.”
