A first of its kind is coming to the Florence area.
Panda Express is set to open at 2661 David H. McLeod Blvd., next to Chipotle Mexican Grill, according to The Post and Courier. The location is targeting a mid-summer debut.
What Now Charleston reached out to Panda Express for an official opening date and details on any unique features planned for the Florence location, but the company has not yet responded.
Panda Express serves a variety of American Chinese entrées, including fan favorites like Orange Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, and Broccoli Beef. Premium selections such as Black Pepper Angus Steak are available for an additional charge, and the menu often features limited-time items like Honey Sesame Chicken and Firecracker Shrimp.
The fast-casual restaurant also offers Coca-Cola products and a selection of desserts.
With around 2,450 locations nationwide, including a dozen in South Carolina, the Florence opening marks a major addition for local fans. Until now, the closest Panda Express has been in Columbia, more than an hour away.
