Pattana Restaurant Group, one of the DMV’s most prolific hospitality outfits, has been serving up some of the region’s most consistent and delicious Thai food over the past several years. Proving that the group has no intentions of slowing down, Pattana is preparing to open a new location of Bird’s Eye Thai in Fairfax, reports local media outlet FFXNow.

The restaurant is making positive strides towards establishing its next home, having submitted an application to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority for 1729 U Galleria at Tysons II.

No word yet on when, precisely, Bird’s Eye Thai will be ready to serve hungry shoppers; the Tyson’s Galleria has the restaurant listed only as “coming soon” on its website-a nebulous, at best, measure of time.

Bird’s Eye Thai has one other location open and operational in Arlington. The restaurant invites customers to craft their own unique dishes, selecting a bowl base and a chicken variety (tofu for the vegetarians and vegans). Guests can choose to “make it a meal”, which adds 2 spring rolls and a flavored lemonade to their table. Bird’s Eye also offers a range of craft cocktails and beers for the over-21 set.

Tyson’s visitors are certain to make the eatery an unmissable part of their shopping trips. Bird’s Eye’s website explains what’s in store, saying: “Our mission is to deliver the highest quality dishes crafted with care and precision, making every bite a celebration of Thailand’s rich culinary heritage. Just as birds soar freely, we are committed to spreading joy—whether it’s through the food we serve or the welcoming experience we provide.”
