A pop-up ramen shop is cooking up a permanent location in North Charleston.
Weems Ramen, owned by Weems Pennington, is opening a brick-and-mortar spot at 1921 Reynolds Ave., according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
The 1800 square-foot shop recently applied for a state permit to serve beer, wine and liquor.
Weems Ramen has been operating out of Sweatman’s Garden in South Windermere, serving customers Wednesday through Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m., often staying open later on Fridays and Saturdays. They’ve also hosted pop-up collaborations with Estadio and Oyster Dumpling Bar.
In addition to housemade noodles, Weems offers a craft cocktail menu with playful names like Everynight Fireworks, You’d Prefer an Astronaut, EndSerendating and Searching for a Former Clarity.
An opening date for the new location has not yet been announced. For updates, follow the shop on Facebook or Instagram.
