The community of restaurants on East Davis Boulevard between Barbados and Biscayne Avenues in Tampa’s Davis Islands looks to be welcoming a new cafe into the mix. Plan review paperwork submitted by Little Palm Cafe LLC shows the cafe—called Little Palm Cafe—opening at 205 E Davis Blvd.

Behind Little Palm Cafe is Tampa Bay restaurateur (or, if you like, cafeteur) Christopher Rivas. Rivas is also the originator of cafes like Little Tina and Urban Cantina.

What Now reached out to Rivas on Thursday to ask about Little Palm Cafe, its menu, and its projected opening timeline. Rivas was not immediately available to discuss the project.

This leaves guessing for the moment on the details.

Launching in the East Davis Boulevard location, Little Palm Cafe would join a thriving restaurant community that includes Thai Island Restaurant, Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, Plum Tree, Farrell’s on the Island, Grecian Island Restaurant, and more.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
