There’s something cooking in The Village at Tacoma Mall. Simply Thai Restaurant is set to open this fall in the food court, best accessed through the Steele Street entrance.

The Thai-inspired restaurant offers a broad menu of appetizers, soups, salads, noodles, curries and fried rice, all customizable with chicken, pork, tofu, beef, prawns, salmon or crab. Signature entrees include mango trout and Thai sweet and sour, as well as spiced dishes such as swimming angel, kee-mao, phad-khing (ginger or chili paste) and holy (Thai basil), each served with a choice of protein.

“Our mission is simple: source and prepare the freshest ingredients for our handcrafted Thai cuisine. Each meal is worthy of our family at home, which means you’ll enjoy an authentic taste of Thailand at every visit. Each plate begins with high-quality meats, or fresh seafood from our own processing facility. Next, we add vegetables, fruit, and aromatics from local suppliers. The finishing touches are traditional seasonings and our incredible house-made sauces,” their website reads.

In addition to the new Tacoma location, Simply Thai Restaurant operates another restaurant at 235 Strander Blvd. in Tukwila.

A grand opening date has not yet been announced. For updates, visit their website or follow them on Facebook.
