A spot for drinks along Hawthorne Boulevard may be around the corner.

A new application for a bar at 4601 SE Hawthorne Boulevard was recently sent in to the city. This is to be called Last Call Saloon, and the project is under review right now. This is for a full on-premises liquor license.

Applicant Kevin Morin did not have details to share on the bar right now, but it is to be in the same spot as the Trail’s End Bar. Morin told What Now Portland he is looking to open the new location in about six weeks.

The Trail’s End bar has been a popular spot on Hawthorne serving food and drinks with a happy hour. Other establishments in this area include Zach’s Shack bar, Toji Korean Grill House and Por Que No Mexican restaurant. It is in the Hawthorne district of the city.

The hours of operation for the new space will be 4 p.m.-midnight. There are also outdoor operating hours that are the same. Food and alcohol will be served outside.

The bar will also serve food inside as well, but a menu hasn’t been released. The space will have the capacity to seat 34 people indoors and six outside.
