Known for serving classic gyros and bowls, Nick the Greek is back in Texas with its Houston location. The restaurant has announced a grand opening to be held on Friday to celebrate the milestone. Guests can expect free lunch at the newly opened restaurant at 11805 Westheimer Road. Between 11 am and 2:30 pm, customers can join in on the feast and pick their favorite entrees.

The West Coast-based chain was established almost a decade ago by three cousins – Big Nick, Little Nick, and Baby Nick Tsigaris – who were named by their grandfather, following the traditional Greek naming customs.

Culinary Experience

Nick the Greek offers a diverse and extensive menu that focuses on gyros and souvlaki. With a delectable lineup of delicious rotisserie meats, grilled skewers, tangy sauces, and the freshest vegetables, the eatery serves healthy, flavorful, and authentic Greek cuisine in a fast-casual environment.

The menu was developed after extensive recipe testing and visits to Greece. The restaurant makes delicious gyro meats right in their own kitchen using a classic vertical rotisserie. To keep it wholesome, the menu also features authentic Greek treats, including baklava and Greek donuts.

Strategic Expansion

The family-based restaurant has significantly ramped up its expansion efforts in recent years. Since 2021, the fast-growing chain has added numerous new locations and increased its store count, spread across seven states, such as California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Utah.

Nick the Greek has nearly 90 locations currently in operation, with plans to expand to more locations in the western region of the country. Nick the Greek has attracted a wide range of audience by carefully selecting prominent spots in bustling downtown metro areas. As a brand that is rapidly expanding, its growth is a clear indication of the increasing demand for fresh and genuine Greek cuisine among consumers in the country.

In meeting the high demand for Greek street food, Nick the Greek has carved out a niche for itself in the competitive fast-casual space. With a menu centered around quality, Nick the Greek is well-positioned for expansion in the coming years. It will significantly contribute to the dynamic food landscape in Houston, a city known for its diversity in featuring flavors from around the world.
